How does smart billing work? Unlike most hosting facilities we've invested in smart infrastructure so each and every miner is metered at the plug. This allows us to track with precision the amount of energy(kwh's) each miner uses over a billing period. Other hosting sites charge you for kwh's even if your miner goes offline or it goes out for repair. Downtime and repair time can easily add up to hundreds if not thousands of dollars over the lifetime of a miner. You will constantly be trying to reconcile downtime with your provider to get money back. Luckily, we put in the work and investment to end all of that garbage for you. You certainly wouldn't pay your electric provider at home for energy you didn't use why would you do it while mining? Seriously, stop paying for energy you don't use!
How and why are the up-time and response times so good? With smart billing we only get paid when your miners are online and hashing so downtime cost's us money too. In this way we have aligned our incentives with your expectations so we have skin in the game which is exactly what you want from your hosting provider. If you can't figure out why response times and up-time suck....it's because your hosting provider is profiting from your lose and has very little incentive to do anything quickly. On top of all that we have dual primary power so up-time is fantastic!
What does your energy mix look like? We are 85% natural gas and every miner will be powered by 15% renewable energy by default. We also offer 16-100% renewable options for those wanting more which will be certified by the state of Michigan!
What does the power look like? Our site has two primary power feeds from different generating plants and are tied together via a fail safe switch in the event we should lose power from one provider. This is another reason why our uptime is so high.
What does the network look like? Our site has redundant fiber optic feeds and each network switch, firewall, etc.. runs back to automated failover switches and battery backups in the event we should lose one of our power feeds.
What does security look like? We have a boat load of surveillance cameras throughout our operations and gated access points and armed personnel.
What is your default contract term? 12 Months, Our automated system will send a notification when it gets close to the renewal date.
What is are the hosting only fees for and does it apply if we buy miners thru CryptoCaddy? We do not charge any additional fees for miners purchased through us. We only charge a fee for miners not purchased through us. The minimum cost to supply world class infrastructure with all of the enterprise features at great uptime such as ours had an average cost of $850/miner in calendar year 2023.
Do you have a minimum order quantity? No, we spent the time to build out an entire software platform to make onboarding one customer with one miner just as easy as one customer with 1000 miners.
How will the deposit be used? We will apply your deposit to the last hosting payment if your account is in good standing.
What does the billing period look like? We bill from the 22nd to the 22nd of each month.
What payment options do you have for the monthly hosting bill? Most customers use our 0% fee option of auto pay with ACH which is free. Wire transfer, USDT, and USDC are also accepted for a small conversion fee.
What payment options do you have for hardware purchases? Wire transfer, USDT, and USDC are accepted along with other popular options.
Do we allow overclocking? Yes, we can overclock most hardware for a fee that covers tuning and installation.
What happens if a miner goes offline? Good news is we built our own monitoring and alerting software for all miners and publish the events to our support team. In the event your miner goes down and need to contact us you can send an email to support@cryptcaddy.us.
How much do you charge for maintenance and repairs? We generally charge between $25-$40/hr depending on the repair.
What type of repairs do you do? We can take care of all the small stuff such as fan replacements, control board swaps, power supply issues, firmware etc... We do not do hashboard repairs onsite and leave it to our customers as to where they'd like to send it for repair...of course we can recommend a few good repair shop's.
Which mining pool can we use? You can choose any pool you'd like!
Can you recommend or provide a pool with low fees? Yes, options will be provided during the onboarding process.
